About the position

The position involves working under a senior level Field Applications Engineer to assist with the development of new customer designs, perform technical reviews, provide analysis and troubleshooting efforts, and conduct new product evaluations. Extensive hands-on support in the local lab will be required. The role includes understanding and demonstrating Renesas' value proposition, solving technical concerns to ensure customer usage of Renesas products, and responsibilities such as product characterization, design simulations, and competitive analysis. The candidate will act as the primary technical resource for pre-sales and post-sales support in the region, securing design wins across a wide range of customers. Regular customer meetings will be necessary to use analog and power expertise to cultivate design opportunities, position Renesas products, and address customer obstacles. The role also involves providing real-time support for key customers and the Renesas Sales/REP team, troubleshooting power supply circuits, assisting with external component selection and board layout, and leading technical discussions. The candidate will modify evaluation boards for customer demos, conduct schematic/layout reviews on-site, and establish close relationships with designers and sales teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development of new customer designs and perform technical reviews.
  • Provide analysis and troubleshooting efforts and conduct new product evaluations.
  • Understand and demonstrate Renesas' value proposition and solve technical concerns.
  • Act as primary technical resource for pre-sales and post-sales support.
  • Secure design wins across a wide range of customers.
  • Meet with customers to cultivate design opportunities and position Renesas products.
  • Provide real-time support for key customers and the Renesas Sales/REP team.
  • Troubleshoot power supply circuits and assist with external component selection.
  • Lead technical discussions and present technical features of Renesas products.
  • Provide guidance on the value and strategic fit of the assigned product family.
  • Provide competitive updates and help develop strategies.
  • Establish dialogue with marketing and management teams.
  • Modify evaluation boards for customer demos and debug customer boards.
  • Conduct schematic/layout reviews on-site with customers.
  • Lead technical discovery on key customer designs.
  • Establish close relationships with designers, component engineers, and sales teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of schematics, layouts, and digital components.
  • Knowledge of analog circuitry including op-amps, DC/DC power, and data converters.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated team player with effective communication skills.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and oral.
  • Driver's License.
