About the position

The Associate Field Application Engineer at ABB plays a crucial role in aligning promotional strategies with sales objectives, ensuring the effective execution of promotional activities, and providing technical support to enhance customer satisfaction. This position involves leading a team, fostering collaborations, and supporting project development for key stakeholders in the electrical distribution sector.

Responsibilities

• Design promotional strategy in line with the sales strategy.
• Plan and execute promotional activities with appropriate technical content for the target audience.
• Lead, develop, and coach the Technical Design and Promotions team to ensure high technical knowledge.
• Align promotional strategy and activities plan with the sales strategy and sales activities plan.
• Ensure the Promotions team provides timely and quality technical support and training to the Sales organization.
• Create business opportunities by supporting and collaborating with key decision-makers.
• Provide technical support to customers, including consultants and engineering firms, in project development and problem-solving.

Requirements

• B.S. degree, preferably in electrical engineering.
• Experience in the electrical distribution or manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
• Previous field, plant, or design engineering experience in electrical power systems or industrial facilities is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, NFPA 70E, UL preferred.
• Must have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
