About the position

The Associate Field Application Engineer (FAE) role at Renesas involves providing both on-site and off-site support to key customers and the sales team. The candidate will engage with customers to promote Renesas products, address technical challenges, and facilitate design opportunities. This position requires a strong understanding of embedded systems and the ability to demonstrate the value of Renesas solutions to ensure customer satisfaction and product adoption.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and off-site support for key customers and the Renesas Sales team.
• Cultivate and convert design opportunities using Renesas products.
• Demonstrate technology and address customer obstacles to advance design wins.
• Support customers with system-related bring-up and Renesas product issues.
• Understand and demonstrate Renesas' value proposition to customers.
• Assist with embedded programming as per customer needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics Engineering.
• 1-2 years of professional experience as a Field Application Engineer or Design Engineer (preferred).
• Code development and debugging skills in embedded C with and without an RTOS.
• Experience with reviewing schematics and understanding PCB layout (preferred).
• Knowledge of the semiconductor industry (preferred).
• Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink Model, and Simulation tools (preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in technical sales or customer-facing roles.
• Familiarity with power management and mixed signal data processing.
