About the position

Vermeer Corporation is seeking an entry-level individual who is passionate about customer support and product development. In this role, you will coordinate new product development projects aimed at enhancing the product support experience. You will serve as a technical resource for internal teams, dealers, and high-profile customers, addressing product concerns and ensuring that the reliability of Vermeer products meets customer expectations. This position requires collaboration with both internal and external partners to conduct thorough root cause evaluations and implement corrective actions. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining critical projects within Vermeer’s business systems, focusing on driving serviceability and quality improvements in our products. Your role will also involve maximizing the use of applications and tools, identifying opportunities for more effective technology use, and providing valuable feedback to partners. As you actively learn about the business unit's markets, you will help dealers and customers make informed business decisions based on key insights. Additionally, you will analyze data trends and communicate findings effectively to both internal and external stakeholders. Establishing and implementing metrics around quality and reliability will be crucial for driving positive business results. This position is hybrid, allowing for some flexibility in work location, and occasional travel is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to confirm expectations of the reliability of Vermeer product through thorough root cause evaluation and correction action.
  • Create and maintain critical projects through Vermeer business systems that drive serviceability and quality into Vermeer products.
  • Maximizes use of applications and tools, identifies areas where technology could be more effectively used and provide feedback to internal and external partners.
  • Actively learns key insights around the business unit's markets, that help dealers and customers drive business decisions.
  • Analyze and effectively communicate internally and externally data trends. Establish and implement metrics around quality and reliability that can be used for decision making to drive positive business results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technical school or engineering field and 2 years' experience or equivalent education and experience preferred.
  • Ability to make good decisions in very difficult and tense situations.
  • Demonstration of strong verbal and written communication skills including public speaking and effectively serving as the subject matter expert to communicate with dealers and customers.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate multiple activities and resources.
  • Ability to be customer oriented and have a can-do attitude to provide effective training and product support.
