About the position

The Associate Finance Director for Operations Process & Systems at AbbVie is responsible for providing financial leadership and business support within the target function. This role focuses on developing and managing financial tools and processes for financial planning and analysis, ensuring accurate financial statements, and supporting strategic projects. The position requires collaboration with senior management and business partners to deliver insights and recommendations that align with market dynamics and operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support financial tools (BPC, Power BI) for planning processes, ensuring accurate integration of forecasts, pricing, and investment resources.
• Develop financial planning deliverables for executive-level review and approval.
• Collaborate with business partners to create models that accurately reflect Operations Manufacturing Processes.
• Serve as a strategic tool for target functions, providing clear output deliverables for executive management review.
• Ensure adequate resourcing levels for successful launch of functional assets in collaboration with business partners.
• Provide analyses for ad hoc business presentations to inform key business drivers and support operating management in strategy adaptation.
• Ensure accurate monthly reporting related to functional strategic projects.
• Delegate tasks and coach staff to maintain optimal support levels and provide career development opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7-10 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• Ability to proactively identify and evaluate business problems and opportunities
• Capability to direct efforts to achieve answers and results
• Strong problem-solving skills and analysis within financial policies and GAAP
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice-to-haves

• MBA in Accounting or Finance and/or CPA/CMA
• Multi-division experience and knowledge of the financial planning process
• Solid understanding of automated accounting systems such as SAP ERP, SAP BPC
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI
