About the position

The Associate Financial Analyst position at Mattel is a key role within the Global Commercial Finance Team, responsible for managing trade spend and supporting financial analysis across global markets. This role emphasizes collaboration with various teams to enhance financial processes and tools, ensuring effective data management and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate insights, process, and reporting requirements of Global Sales and Finance teams and develop standard practices.
• Work closely with global Finance and Sales teams to develop and support a Trade Promotion Management (TPM) system.
• Provide ongoing support to current end users of the trade spend management tool, acting as the first point of contact for Regional Power Users.
• Triage and manage platform support inbox; manage issue resolution with third-party developers and internal SMEs.
• Ensure global tool adoption across existing and new users.
• Partner with Commercial Finance and Technology teams to support data validation, analysis, and visualization within Salesforce and Tableau platforms.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for platform and process enhancements.
• Perform financial analyses including trend analysis, what-if scenarios, and customer Gross to Net.
• Analyze ROI effectiveness on key account promotional programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1-3+ years of work experience in finance or a related area.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of management, internal and external.
• Experience with Salesforce platform preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
• High degree of initiative, drive, confidence, and resilience.
• Professional presence that is adaptable and teamwork-oriented.
• Aptitude for managing processes and being organized.
