About the position

The Associate Flavor Analyst/Scientist position at Kelly Services involves conducting flavor research activities within the Consumer Product Analytics (CPA) group. The role focuses on utilizing various analytical instruments, particularly GC-MS, HPLC, and LCMS, to collect and interpret data related to flavor compounds in consumer and natural products. The successful candidate will support the flavor CPA team by reporting results from chemical and physical testing and collaborating with other teams to understand product composition and chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex technical work under the general direction of technical management.
• Isolate and concentrate flavor compounds from food and beverage products using techniques such as solvent extractions, distillations, and headspace collections.
• Acquire, analyze, and develop skills in interpreting chromatographic data (GC-MS, HPLC, LCMS).
• Document and record analytical data from flavor research projects.
• Maintain the laboratory and equipment.

Requirements

• BS degree or higher in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with gas chromatography and mass spectrometry.
• Familiarity with analytical separation and instrumentation.
