About the position

Vista Equity Partners is seeking an Associate to join the Fund Operations team responsible for managing the operations of Vista's private equity funds. The role involves supporting the development of processes and standards for fund management, including performance reporting, fund modeling, investment funding, and credit facility management. The Associate will work in a fast-paced environment, engaging with various teams and external stakeholders, requiring strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare key performance metrics and detailed data requests for standard reviews and ad hoc requests
  • Support fundraising efforts, including new products and external co-investments, collaborating with the Investor Relations team
  • Manage credit facility operations and ensure compliance with credit agreements
  • Prepare investor requests and respond to inquiries from Limited Partners (LPs)
  • Assist Fund leaders with budgeting and tracking of Fund's profitability models, including carried interest projections
  • Prepare capital availability reports and other standard weekly reporting
  • Build models for portfolio analysis, including scenario planning and IRR maximization
  • Support the Investment Committee and Fund leaders with investment purchases, follow-on fundings, distributions, and portfolio reviews
  • Gather documentation for investment authorization, allocation, funds flow, and review transaction documents
  • Collaborate with the Fund Accounting team to ensure accurate financial statements
  • Provide necessary information for capital calls and distributions
  • Monitor compliance with Limited Partnership Agreements and other regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in an analytical or financial role in the asset management industry
  • Strong finance knowledge and demonstrated experience in quantitative analysis and financial modeling
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality work
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or accounting preferred; strong preference for additional graduate degrees or certifications (Masters, MBA, CFS, ACA)
