About the position

The Associate in General Management at S&P Global will play a crucial role in the Tax Solutions Outsourcing group, focusing on tax document validation, account remediation, and client back-office functions related to U.S. and foreign tax documentation requirements. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to manage client relationships effectively while ensuring compliance with various tax regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and conduct tax document examination (IRS Forms W-8 and W-9, as well as CRS self-certification) for completeness and accuracy.
  • Act as client relationship lead for due diligence processes related to account onboarding practices and form solicitations.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, handling day-to-day account review processes and urgent escalations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on client inquiries regarding applicable statutes and tax authority guidance.
  • Address tax compliance and remediation requests in accordance with IRS regulations and Outsourcing protocol.
  • Assist clients with withholding rate calculations and verification of tax treaty benefits.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting withholding and reporting requirements.
  • Address client queries on Tax Solutions developed software and tax form validation logic.
  • Participate in client status conferences to discuss validation progress and processing questions.
  • Exhibit a strong emphasis on working quickly, efficiently, and accurately.

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years' experience in customer service and financial data operations preferred.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with priority clients and sales prospects.
  • Familiarity with bank compliance and risk management is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in tax compliance or advisory/consulting background in U.S. domestic and non-resident tax (Chapters 3 and 61), FATCA (Chapter 4), and global AEOI requirements.
  • Prior experience in tax compliance review as part of financial account onboarding for banks and other financial institutions.
