About the position

Ensolum, LLC is seeking an entry-level Associate Geologist, Environmental Scientist, or Environmental Engineer to join their team in Wheat Ridge, CO. This role involves working on a variety of technical projects, both in the field and in the office, where the candidate will collect samples, conduct research, and write technical reports. The position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and develop their skills in environmental science and engineering while contributing to innovative solutions for environmental challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting soil, groundwater, and air samples for field and/or laboratory analyses
  • Creating detailed maps, lithologic logs, and cross-sections
  • Gathering, tabulating, and analyzing data
  • Operating and maintaining field equipment and instrumentation
  • Supporting asbestos, lead, and industrial hygiene sampling, surveying, and reporting
  • Performing site inspections such as walking surveys, stormwater inspections, site reconnaissance, and learning to provide project oversight
  • Researching federal and state rules and regulations regarding environmental permitting, compliance, and remediation
  • Learning how to manage projects within designated timeframes and budgets, apply regulatory policies to clean up the environment, interface with subcontractors and clients, and implement health and safety best practices

Requirements

  • BS in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 0 - 2 years of experience with environmental field sampling and data collection
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Safety awareness and understanding of safe work practices
  • Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and personal vehicle
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Able to pass drug & alcohol screening and background check

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience working in oil field-related industry
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
