About the position

The Associate Grants Administrator at the American Heart Association plays a crucial role in supporting the Voices for Healthy Kids initiative by implementing equitable grant-making strategies and maintaining programmatic data. This position involves collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance and effective use of the grants management system, Fluxx, while also focusing on data analysis and reporting to drive decision-making and enhance grant processes.

Responsibilities

  • Implement grant-making strategies in the online system (Fluxx) under the direction of the Senior Grant Administrator.
  • Collaborate with the consultation team to ensure a clear process for submitting progress reports, financial documents, and compliance documentation.
  • Conduct analysis of grant-making and generate materials to present data related to goals and strategies.
  • Produce and share training and documentation focused on grant making to enable applicants and staff to utilize the grants management system effectively.
  • Ensure the evaluation plan is implemented, and data collection is maintained and analyzed.
  • Analyze programmatic data for reporting and decision-making.
  • Maintain the CRM and assist in training the team in updating, tracking, and reporting from the database.
  • Conduct systems and process improvement audits to assess quality standards and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Maintain and update data systems that track progress towards deliverables and goals.
  • Prepare summaries of successes and highlights towards goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong organizational skills and project management experience
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize work effectively
  • 3 years of experience related to social determinants of health and health equity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, especially in data management
  • Comfortable with technology and willing to learn emerging technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM/databases

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in grant making capacity and grant management systems (Fluxx)
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and create clear documentation and training materials
