About the position

The Associate Graphic Designer for the Global Graphics & Knitwear team at Kontoor Brands plays a vital role in creating original artwork for apparel graphics and preparing graphics for production. This position requires a blend of creativity and technical skills, focusing on maintaining graphic archives, assisting in assortment building, and conducting market research related to trends. The ideal candidate will have experience in the fashion or lifestyle brand sector and be proficient in key graphic design software.

Responsibilities

• Create original artwork for apparel graphic vehicles (Tees, fleece, etc.) for all Kontoor brands, all tiers/genders.
• Maintain graphic archives/server files and ensure all assets are updated and filed accordingly.
• Assist in assortment building, art revisions, CAD updates, and shareout tools for GTM milestones and SMU opportunities.
• Create camera-ready artwork for production, with a solid understanding of the screen printing process and basic garment construction.
• Participate in market research for seasonal trend reports.
• Attend key meetings with cross-functional partners as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to create original artwork with a keen eye for commerciality.
• Experience working in an apparel environment (Brand, lifestyle, or licensed house).
• Understanding of graphic apparel trends, techniques, and tools.
• Proficiency in graphic design programs, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign.
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with internal teams and cross-functional partners.
• Strong attention to detail, can-do problem-solving mindset, understanding of design process and market trends.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deliverable dates on time.
• Customer-focused mindset with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Accountable, efficient, and able to work both collaboratively and independently.
