About the position

The Associate, HR Operations position is a trainee role within the Employee Services Unit (ESU) of Travelers, a global HR Shared Services center. This role focuses on payroll-related tasks, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while gaining knowledge of HR policies and procedures. The position supports various HR domains and is essential for maintaining operational excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply HR policies, practices, and technology to provide guidance and resolutions to customers.
  • Perform routine data entry and case support for various customer transactions.
  • Research, analyze, and resolve issues using HR technologies and internal reference materials.
  • Track inquiries and escalate to other HR areas for resolution as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all questions and concerns from customers.
  • Follow all policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • 1 year of HR or equivalent customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience with Workday preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook preferred.
  • Strong customer service orientation with verbal and written communication skills.
  • Results-driven with excellent organization and prioritization skills.

  • Experience with HR technologies and internal reference materials.
