About the position

As an Associate Human Resources Manager at our dry pet food factory, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience and fostering a positive workplace culture. Our facility, located just 10 miles from downtown Oklahoma City, has been a cornerstone of the community for over 50 years, producing beloved brands such as Dog Chow®, Puppy Chow®, and Beneful®. In this leadership developmental role, you will gain hands-on experience in various HR functions, including employee relations, talent management, compensation and benefits, and process management. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and support all employee and labor relations issues at the plant, ensuring a harmonious and productive work environment. You will act as a liaison between the HR department and the Warehouse and Maintenance teams, facilitating communication and collaboration. This position is designed to fast-track your career in human resources, providing you with the skills and experiences necessary to become a future leader in our manufacturing operations. You will also have the opportunity to relocate to different factory sites across the country, broadening your perspective and enhancing your professional growth. In this role, you will proactively identify and recommend initiatives to improve the working environment, manage employee and labor relations activities, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and Nestlé standards. You will also coordinate recruiting, orientation, and post-employment evaluation processes, while providing subject matter expertise in performance management and employee engagement. Your contributions will directly impact the well-being of our associates and the overall success of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employee and labor relations activities in the factory.
  • Be proactive in identifying and recommending initiatives that will continuously improve the plant working environment.
  • Act as the liaison and main contact for contingent labor vendors, specifically within Warehouse and Maintenance.
  • Learn and support timekeeping and payroll systems.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the area of performance management and employee engagement and serve as a resource to associates and supervisors.
  • Coordinate the recruiting, orientation and post-employment evaluation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulations and Nestle standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 2+ years of Human Resources support, clerical, or admin experience required.
  • Experience with unions preferred.
  • Must be mobile and open to relocation after 12-18 months at the Edmond plant to any other factory location within the U.S.
