About the position

The Associate II Interior Designer will work closely with the Principal in Charge and Lead Designer to establish project concepts and aesthetics. This role involves managing multiple projects concurrently, ensuring effective communication with clients, consultants, and contractors, and maintaining project profitability while meeting client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Principal in Charge/Lead Designer to establish project concept and aesthetics
  • Implement all phases of projects, including client meetings, field verification, drawing production, material and furniture selection/specification, and construction administration
  • Coordinate multiple projects concurrently
  • Work with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to meet project objectives
  • Manage client expectations regarding scope, budget, and schedule
  • Maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships
  • Manage project staffing, fees, and schedule
  • Track and ensure project profitability
  • Support project team with various administrative duties and project correspondence
  • Contribute to office initiatives and learning programs
  • Participate in business development and marketing efforts
  • Recruit and mentor staff

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant architecture or interior design experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • Must be a Registered Interior Designer or a Registered Architect with current license
  • If Registered Architect, NCARB and AIA registration preferred
  • Proficiency in Revit required
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Flexibility to focus on multiple projects at the same time
  • Extensive knowledge of building materials, construction, and building codes, including ADA
