The Associate, Intake Operations at MVP Health Care plays a crucial role in managing service requests and communications from various stakeholders in the healthcare system. Responsibilities

• Handle service requests and correspondences from providers, facilities, enrollees, or their representatives via phone, fax, email, and postal mail.
• Review and interpret authorization requirements based on MVP contracts, riders, resources, policies, and procedures.
• Create authorization cases for service requests requiring authorization.
• Make outgoing faxes and/or calls to providers with determinations or to request additional information.
• Contribute to various responsibilities that may arise, reflecting the goal of enhancing healthcare delivery and being the difference for the customer.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years' experience in health insurance, medical, or healthcare field.
• One year customer service experience.
• Availability to work full-time, 3 days during the week with every other weekend required, virtually within NYS.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
• Intermediate computer/keyboarding skills.
