The Associate Interior Designer, Business to Business role is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in building a new business for Williams-Sonoma, Inc. This position will cover interiors-related functions in support of our Business-to-Business sales. The Temporary Associate Interior Designer's role will include client-focused presentations showcasing design direction, product offerings, and space planning. The Associate Interior Designer will support the Business to Business Interior Design team and collaborate with the design, sales, and operations teams to pull together projects and presentations for clients. You will also help create a portfolio of projects that can be used as marketing collateral to attract new clients and manage e-commerce assets as well as other important collateral milestones. This is a fully remote position and will be temp-to-perm.

Responsibilities

  • Highly collaborative, curious, and inspired by interior design.
  • Creative with a passion to design into the aesthetics of the various Williams-Sonoma brands including West Elm, Pottery Barn, Rejuvenation, and Williams Sonoma Home.
  • Able to maintain multiple brands' Point of View (P.O.V) and Point of Difference (P.O.D).
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with multiple teams.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Stay on top of current and past industry trends.
  • Operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
  • Transport materials and equipment and lift, move and carry objects up to 50 pounds on a limited basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
  • 2-4 years of Commercial Interior Design experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD & SketchUp.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Proficient in Microsoft suites (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Knowledge of contract furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications.
  • Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas.
