About the position

The Associate Interior Designer at Walt Disney Imagineering plays a crucial role in supporting the design and development of interior spaces across Disney theme parks, hotels, and cruise ships. This position involves assisting in project design development, creating technical documentation, and contributing to the overall aesthetic and functional aspects of various projects. The role is part of a dynamic team that blends creativity with technical expertise to deliver immersive experiences that align with Disney's high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support various projects by assisting in project design development and technical documentation.
  • Provide design documentation in the form of graphic illustrations, imagery boards, color renderings, and research and documentation on assigned projects.
  • Perform various basic technical tasks and documentation, including color & material design and documentation, basic CAD support, and FF&E design and specifications.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience in an interior design practice or one or more professional internships.
  • A degree from an accredited interior design program (4-year program preferred).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in CADD and digital illustration tools such as Creative Suite, Illustrator, and SketchUp.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge and experience in the practice of interior design.
