About the position

The Associate Interior Designer will work directly with the principal and lead designer to manage all aspects of the design process. This includes creating and maintaining project documents, sourcing materials, and communicating with clients and vendors. The role involves project management for new construction and remodel projects, with a focus on supporting the design team throughout each project phase.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the principal and lead designer to organize, implement and manage all aspects of the design process.
• Create and maintain project documents, presentations, schedules, proposals, quotes, etc. using Adobe InDesign.
• Source and price materials for projects.
• Communicate with clients and vendors effectively.
• Accept deliveries at the studio and on-site.
• Assist in producing construction documents, floor plans, and elevations using Chief Architect.
• Attend client meetings, site visits, trade days, selection days, and more.
• Assist in organizing the studio and materials.
• Manage projects on all new construction and remodel projects.
• Support the management of client and construction binders, budgets, and drawings.

Requirements

• 2-4 years professional experience in interior design.
• Strong knowledge of FF&E and familiarity with specifying hard and soft finishes.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Autodesk; knowledge of Chief Architect is a bonus and must be learned within the first 90 days.
• Strong attention to detail regarding design, communication, and project execution.
• Ability to adhere to schedules and deadlines on multiple concurrent projects while producing high-quality, accurate work.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (2 years preferred).
• Experience in interior design (2 years required).
• Knowledge of color theory (2 years preferred).
• Experience with AutoCAD (2 years required).
• Experience with Chief Architect (2 years preferred).
