About the position

As an Associate Inventory Supply Chain Manager at Dot Foods, you will play a crucial role in managing inventory within established product lines, which is designed to prepare you for the Inventory Supply Chain Manager position. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the management and disposal of products that are not moving effectively through the replenishment system, as well as ensuring that obsolete expenses and overstock goals are met. You will be responsible for managing the stock status of items across all Dot locations based on established criteria, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained appropriately. In this role, you will serve as the key contact for Dot customer service regarding product issues, including product availability, communication of supplier-related issues, and follow-up on service level concerns. You will execute the appropriate fair share and priority allocation of products during stock-outs and reservations. Additionally, you will participate in select replenishment department committees, which focus on service levels, inventory turns, obsolescence, and deeper drive initiatives. Applying lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of your responsibilities will be a key aspect of your role. This position may require occasional overnight travel to suppliers, other company locations, or off-site meetings and training sessions. You must have the ability to travel independently as needed, utilizing all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to conduct data analysis to identify issues and solve problems.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Utilize numerical reasoning to complete job tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
