About the position

The role is part of the Global Alternative Transaction Services team within Business Operations at BlackRock, focusing on supporting private investment trade execution and ensuring accurate data capture related to the alternatives platform. The position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to facilitate investment processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide trade support and execution functions for private investment funds, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
• Foster relationships with back-office support professionals at private fund managers and their administrators.
• Liaise with external service providers and internal teams to resolve operational issues.
• Work with Business teams to facilitate investment funding processes.
• Interact with Portfolio Management, NAV Oversight, and Client Servicing teams to address investor queries.
• Support the onboarding of new alternative investor mandates and vehicles, implementing processes for investment lifecycle management.
• Identify opportunities for technological innovation and process enhancements.
• Implement and improve risk-mitigating controls.
• Assist with preparation and review of reporting deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Update and review the team's process documentation and controls regularly.

Requirements

• 1-5 years' experience in operations, accounting, or administration with a focus on alternative investment funds.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organized and adaptable to variable deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding work ethic and initiative.
