About the position

The Associate position at Hilco Corporate Finance is a full-time role based in New York City, where the individual will play a crucial role in various stages of client engagements, from business development to transaction closing. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and motivated professional with a strong work ethic, committed to excellence and the growth of the firm in the middle market investment banking sector.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare transaction-related documentation and marketing materials including confidential information memoranda, pitch books, teasers, and management presentations.
  • Manage virtual data rooms and coordinate client and third-party due diligence.
  • Conduct in-depth company and industry research to support client engagements and marketing opportunities.
  • Utilize superior quantitative and analytical skills, including proficiency in financial modeling and quantitative analysis.
  • Demonstrate extraordinary attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Participate in business development training and coaching for long-term success.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree with a strong academic track record, preferably in Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
  • MBA from a top-tier university preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous transactions-related investment banking experience for undergraduates or 1 year for MBAs.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated maturity, integrity, and ability to perform in an entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, research, and financial analysis skills.
  • Proficiency with financial research tools and MS Office.
  • FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses required.
