About the position

The Associate IT Product Manager is responsible for bridging the gap between technology and business needs by developing and managing IT products and services that enhance operational efficiency and drive growth. This role involves collaboration with various internal teams to optimize business processes and deliver exceptional customer experiences through innovative technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including business analysts and developers, to understand requirements and implement product features.
  • Execute on product roadmaps as outlined by senior leadership, focusing on short-term product improvements and tactical delivery.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to define product requirements, refine user stories, and ensure clear communication between business and IT teams.
  • Prioritize day-to-day tasks within the backlog to ensure timely delivery of product updates and enhancements.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and collaborate with the QA team to ensure product features meet quality standards.
  • Maintain the product backlog, ensuring that it remains actionable and aligned with immediate business goals.
  • Actively engage in Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups and sprint reviews, to monitor progress and remove blockers for the development team.
  • Provide input on product performance, helping to identify minor improvements that can be quickly implemented.
  • Assist in the documentation and training for new features, ensuring stakeholders are aware of upcoming changes.
  • Support internal teams in piloting new technologies, providing feedback for iterative development.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings to gather insights, document feedback, and implement small-scale adjustments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in product management or a related role, preferably in an IT environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams.
  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration between business and IT teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a product backlog effectively.
  • Experience with user acceptance testing and quality assurance processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA or Trello.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and technologies.
  • Experience in customer experience optimization.
