About the position

The Associate, Lead Systems Analyst at Santander Holdings USA Inc. is a pivotal role that requires a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive knowledge of business domains and products. This position demands strong analytical skills and a structured approach to defining requirements, creating functional designs, and validating systemic capabilities and processes. The individual in this role will operate within a secure IT environment, ensuring that the company's business needs are met efficiently. The primary responsibility is to collaborate with stakeholders to understand and translate business needs into effective IT solutions, ensuring alignment between business objectives and IT strategy and architecture. The role encompasses accountability for functional design and collaboration with the Architecture and Solutions team within the Payments and Commercial ecosystems, which includes front-end systems, Payments Processing, and vendor products. The scope of work covers the Commercial/Treasury Solutions roadmap, including upgrades and enhancements to vendor products and bank software related to payables, receivables, and liquidity products. Additionally, the role involves managing data and system integrations to support end-to-end business processes. Key responsibilities include developing an understanding of key strategies and business drivers, reviewing existing business processes, and establishing metrics for improvement. The Associate, Lead Systems Analyst will share best practices and lessons learned while continuously updating technical system requirements based on evolving technologies and vendor products. Furthermore, the individual will develop a roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise application portfolio, transitioning from the current state to a future state in partnership with IT and business leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of key strategies, business drivers, and business objectives to research technology landscape and recommend enhancements of technology solutions.
  • Review existing business processes and establish metrics to improve them, supporting all design and solution disciplines under their direction.
  • Share best practices and lessons learned while constantly updating technical system requirements based on changing technologies and knowledge of vendor products and solutions.
  • Develop a roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise application portfolio from current to future state in partnership with IT and business leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years of technical experience in software design, development, architecture, and application support functions.
  • Strong background in IT project management.
  • Strong systems thinker, communicator, and capable liaison between technology, operations, and business teams.
  • Expertise in commercial banking and treasury services, including payables, receivables, and liquidity products.
  • Experience with Service Now, Jira, and Confluence or similar tools.
  • Three years' experience in a senior system analyst role.

  • Demonstrated applied knowledge of enterprise application delivery mechanisms and requirements.
