With dual focus on both the practical and theoretical worlds of filmmaking, our program provides students with the flexibility to explore all aspects of the industry. Our faculty are artists, filmmakers, and professionals who actively screen at festivals and exhibition spaces from the Sundance Film Festival to the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. The Peck School of the Arts offers twenty undergraduate and graduate degree programs serving more than 2,100 student majors, making it one of the largest and most comprehensive arts schools in the region. The Peck School is a vital home for the arts, presenting more than 350 events each year.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in areas such as Directing, Cinematography, Screenwriting, Animation, Digital Video Editing, Film Theory, Sound Design, and Foundation Programs.
  • Work collaboratively with departmental staff and faculty to maintain a vital curriculum.
  • Foster a sense of community and support students' individual development.
  • Actively participate in departmental activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree (degree must be granted by date of hire)

Nice-to-haves

  • Master of Fine Art (MFA) degree
  • Teaching experience
  • Professional and/or demonstrable artistic experience in areas of expertise
