About the position

The Associate Manager, Business Operations at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center plays a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiencies and managing bed operations across multiple hospitals. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to develop and implement strategies aimed at improving clinical quality, safety, and resource utilization. The manager will oversee initiatives related to financial and capital budgeting, as well as administrative direction for bed management, ensuring alignment with the hospital's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Support the identification and development of operational efficiencies and annual strategic goals.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders including directors and nurse leaders to improve clinical quality and safety.
• Plan, develop, implement, and oversee initiatives for bed management operations.
• Supervise and coordinate activities related to statistical, performance, and managerial reporting.
• Provide decision and budget support, and manage capital planning and execution.
• Lead and manage a team responsible for the daily coordination of bed equipment at the medical center.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in hospitality, health care, business, or business operational excellence equivalent is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• 3 years of management experience in a hospital or clinical setting is required.
• 4-8 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Environmental services background is required with demonstrated success in the EVS profession.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and facilitation skills are necessary.
• Ability to initiate and complete projects and learn new systems software.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a large, complex matrixed department is preferred.
