About the position

The Associate Manager of Category Marketing at At Home plays a pivotal role in driving product storytelling across various marketing channels. This position is responsible for enhancing customer engagement and driving sales by effectively representing the assigned merchandise division. The individual will collaborate with both the marketing and merchandising teams to ensure that product stories are compelling and accessible to customers, both online and in-store.

Responsibilities

  • Aggregate and lead strategic upfront planning for product storytelling and assortment knowledge.
  • Provide direction for product storytelling throughout marketing and customer communications.
  • Prioritize critical categories and stories to enhance brand visibility.
  • Serve as the conduit for performance information, deadlines, and deliverables between merchandising and marketing teams.
  • Ensure product stories are inspiring and easy to shop for customers.
  • Identify key product stories and communicate them effectively to customers.
  • Participate in merchandising meetings and collaborate with buying teams.
  • Summarize performance and engagement data from various marketing channels and communicate findings.
  • Ensure that products in marketing communications are in-stock and shoppable.
  • Manage clearance, pricing changes, and promotions, ensuring accurate communication across channels.
  • Champion and develop product storytelling databases, applying updates as needed.
  • Collaborate with the marketing strategy team to create content plans and assist in product story architecture.
  • Strategically choose products for marketing communications and provide guidance on briefs.
  • Coordinate shot requests and product delivery for content creation in studios and media.
  • Attend creative reviews to provide product feedback and ensure quality assurance of customer-facing content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, merchandising, media, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered).
  • 4 years of experience in content, merchandising, or a similar function.
  • Strong collaboration skills to manage multiple contributors and data points effectively.
  • Deep experience in leading customer-facing content creation and planning, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong execution abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Innovative, organized, efficient, and able to prioritize multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Some experience with retail, merchandising, buying, and content planning preferred.
