About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking an Associate Manager for F-35 Production Quality, a role that encompasses managing multiple functional areas within Production Quality. This position is pivotal in ensuring that quality standards are met and maintained throughout the production process. The Associate Manager will be responsible for coordinating the recruitment, selection, and training of subordinate employees, as well as conducting performance assessments and managing salary and recognition or disciplinary actions. This role requires a strong focus on resource allocation, work assignments, and establishing an effective business rhythm to ensure that all aspects of quality are upheld in the assigned area of responsibility. The Associate Manager will actively participate in risk and opportunity management processes, ensuring that cost commitments and financial responsibilities are met. A critical part of this role involves the identification and flow down of quality requirements, both internal and contractual, and the effective implementation of these quality standards. The Associate Manager will also oversee the implementation of a quality management system within their area of responsibility, ensuring that a metrics program is in place to monitor performance and address any adverse trends. Ultimately, this role is essential in ensuring product acceptance and delivery in accordance with established processes and program requirements. This position is located in Fort Worth, Texas, and is a full-time role that requires onsite presence at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The work schedule is structured as a 4x10 hour day, providing employees with three days off per week, which supports a healthy work/life balance. Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple functional areas in Production Quality.
  • Coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection, and training.
  • Conduct performance assessments and manage salary and recognition/disciplinary actions.
  • Allocate resources and assign work to maintain an effective business rhythm.
  • Communicate quality requirements, concerns, and expectations to the team.
  • Participate in risk and opportunity management processes.
  • Ensure cost commitments and financial responsibilities are met.
  • Identify and implement quality requirements (internal and contractual).
  • Oversee the implementation of the quality management system within the area of responsibility.
  • Implement a metrics program and address adverse trends to ensure product acceptance and delivery.

Requirements

  • Appropriate degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Demonstrated full spectrum leadership skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Advanced understanding of Quality principles in the Aerospace industry.
  • Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience in Quality Management Systems (AS9100, AS9102, AS9145).
