About the position

The Associate Manager, Finance at Stryker is responsible for supporting the accounting function for Flex US, ensuring accurate and timely month-end close and financial reporting. This role involves providing financial reports, maintaining internal controls, and supporting operational excellence initiatives. The Associate Manager will act as a key finance partner, collaborating with divisional finance leadership and cross-functional teams to support business development and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support the accounting function for Flex US, ensuring accurate and timely month-end close and financial reporting.
• Provide monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis, to the Flex US Controller and leadership team.
• Ensure adherence to corporate finance policies by supporting the maintenance of internal controls and reviewing account reconciliations.
• Support operational excellence initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve and standardize financial processes within Flex US.
• Provide technical accounting support and guidance on complex transactions (e.g., revenue recognition criteria).
• Perform account reconciliations and financial compliance reviews for high-risk transactions associated with customer contracts.
• Execute balance sheet reviews timely and accurately to mitigate/resolve any P&L risk for Flex US and commercial divisions.
• Act as a key finance partner to the Flex US business unit, providing insights to support key business decisions and strategic growth.
• Collaborate with divisional finance leadership to understand business needs and effectively communicate associated P&L risks.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to support special projects related to business development and financial analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 6+ years of professional experience in general accounting or finance
