About the position

The Associate Manager, FP&A - Corporate Services & Infrastructure Finance plays a crucial role in assisting with financial budgeting and forecasting processes for assigned departments. This position involves collaboration with various internal departments and external resources to address finance-related issues, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. The incumbent will also support the corporate accounting organization and contribute to the preparation and analysis of financial reports, highlighting variances and key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the preparation of the annual budget and forecast, including maintenance of budget information in the budgeting system.
  • Provides support to business owners on annual budget and long-range forecast processes.
  • Prepares periodic budget forecast updates and financial statement forecasts for business units.
  • Prepares, analyzes, and distributes Budget Variance Analysis (BVA) reports, focusing on key drivers and variances.
  • Develops monthly KPI/dashboards to track COGS and analyze cost optimization strategies.
  • Maintains communication with financial leaders to understand risk factors impacting forecasts.
  • Develops and builds expense tracking models and maintains standard reporting tools.
  • Participates in finance system optimization for improved reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Supports financial and business controls, including SOX requirements.
  • Performs special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant financial planning and analysis experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Experience in modeling, forecasting, and budgeting-related activities.
  • Solid accounting and financial reporting experience in an operational environment.
  • Ability to approach assignments with intellectual curiosity and an analytical mindset.
  • Proven ability to be an effective business partner to operations management.
  • Strong attention to detail and self-starter attitude.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
