About the position

The Laura Mercier Global Marketing Associate Manager plays a pivotal role in contributing to Global Marketing initiatives for new launches and ongoing business across various product categories, including complexion, bath & body, skincare, and fragrance. This position is integral to the marketing team, reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Global Marketing. The Associate Manager will assist in various brand analysis projects, strategic initiatives, and brand communications, ensuring that the marketing strategies align with the overall goals of the Laura Mercier brand. In this role, the Associate Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of new product launches, managing the Bath & Body category, and supporting key complexion launches. The position requires conducting competitive research to inform product and pricing strategies, preparing cost objectives to ensure profitability, and managing the routing of launch materials for team review and approval. The Associate Manager will also be tasked with preparing various marketing presentations for international meetings and strategic planning sessions, as well as managing the creation and updates to cross-functional documents. The role demands a strong analytical mindset, as the Associate Manager will prepare mix of business analyses, provide competitive launch reviews, and support the Global Marketing department in various ad hoc analytic projects. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all marketing documents are complete and that the launch strategies are effectively communicated across the organization. Responsibilities

  • Assist team in new product launch planning and execution according to new product development process.
  • Manage the Bath & Body category, working cross-functionally to bring programs through all launch readiness milestones.
  • Support on key complexion launches.
  • Conduct competitive research to help inform product and pricing strategy.
  • Issue and update new launch programs in project management software.
  • Prepare cost objectives for new launches to ensure launch profitability.
  • Issue and update creative & merchandising briefs.
  • Follow up on deliverables with various team members.
  • Support team in creation of key documents, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure documents are complete across all functions (launch strategy decks, forecasting decks, launch reports).
  • Manage routing of launch materials for team review and approval, including creative assets, visual merchandising units, etc.
  • Prepare mix of business analysis.
  • Provide competitive launch reviews.
  • Send regular industry news, launches, innovations, and trends.
  • Support the team with the preparation of various marketing presentations (international meetings, strategic planning, quarterly business reviews, etc.).
  • Manage the creation and updates to cross-functional documents (pricing sheets, line edit/assortment files, sample assortments, etc.).
  • Manage bi-weekly Global Memo issuance to all market partners.
  • Manage bi-weekly agenda issuance for Global Marketing status with Brand President.
  • Ensure meeting rooms are set up for various meetings with appropriate products, comps, etc.
  • Manage product reserves and coordinate product allocations for forecasting samples, creative shoots, market weeks, etc.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree with 2 to 4 years professional experience.
  • Passionate about the beauty industry.
  • Strong sense of the digital and social media landscape.
  • Strong motivation to learn the functions of the marketing department from the ground up.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to manage details and projects while responding to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Energetic, team-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral, written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
