The Associate Manager, Hedge Fund / Private Markets Fund Accounting position at SS&C Technologies, Inc. is a pivotal role within the Private Markets Accounting team. This team is responsible for a wide array of business activities that support the management of private markets, including business development and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. The role is designed for individuals who are looking to advance their careers in fund accounting while contributing to a dynamic and diverse work environment. In this position, you will be instrumental in supporting the development of team members by providing technical training and sharing your extensive knowledge of fund accounting. You will also be responsible for reviewing client deliverables, which include quarterly financial statements, investment data, partner capital allocations, fund net asset values, and applicable accrual bookings. As the primary liaison for your book of business, you will work closely with external parties such as auditors, law firms, and tax advisors to ensure compliance and accuracy in all financial reporting. Your responsibilities will also include the preparation, review, and maintenance of general ledgers, sub ledgers, and trial balances for multiple fund clients, adhering to various accounting standards such as IFRS, US GAAP, and local GAAP. You will play a key role in the implementation, onboarding, and setup of new client entities, contributing to the development and implementation of effective processes that enhance overall operations. Additionally, you will be actively involved in planning, coordinating, and monitoring the quality and timing of various client deliverables, ensuring they meet the established operating memoranda and service level agreements (SLAs). Finally, you will be responsible for the aggregation, maintenance, and reconciliation of key business and client metrics, which are essential for informed decision-making and strategic planning.
