About the position

The Associate Manager, Market Execution at WK Kellogg Co is responsible for driving growth in the Cereal category by managing relationships with key customers and optimizing retail execution. This role involves significant travel to client sites, focusing on category management, shelf optimization, and effective merchandising strategies. The position requires collaboration with internal teams and brokers to develop sales programs that meet revenue goals and enhance customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Cereal Aisle expert and advisor for a key Northeast customer.
  • Evaluate shelf sets, propose solutions, and implement approved sets by store with the reset team.
  • Utilize shelf planning software to create scenarios and measure results.
  • Confirm effective positioning and distribution of category items at the store level to drive sales.
  • Manage broker relationships and dedicated representatives to develop reset schedules and optimize store execution.
  • Develop Cereal IQ through data resources to provide business reviews and insights for store leads.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between account teams, retail teams, broker partners, and customers.
  • Provide plans for growth that address sales gaps, leveraging category management and retail activation strategies.
  • Build and maintain knowledge of competitive activities and customer engagement strategies.
  • Prepare for store openings and re-openings, assisting with aisle layout and shelving setup.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 5-8 years equivalent experience in consumer-packaged goods.
  • Significant sales experience in consumer-packaged goods, preferably in the New England Grocery market.
  • Proven track record of success in a sales organization/account management capacity.
  • Experience communicating complex information to diverse audiences, both in writing and verbally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to lead, align, resolve conflict, and adapt in a changing environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Broker management experience is a plus.
