About the position

The Associate Manager of Global Product Marketing at Mattel will play a crucial role in delivering effective brand and marketing strategies for the Vehicles, Dolls, and Action Figures categories. This position focuses on product development, business strategy, and marketing asset creation, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and alignment with global strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to manage the product portfolio and develop business strategies.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to develop the product line and ensure alignment at key milestones.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the product segment and serve as the point of contact for brand inquiries.
  • Assist in gaining buy-in for global product strategies and executional commitment from internal partners.
  • Coordinate with Product Design, Packaging, and Development teams to bring innovative toys to market on time and on budget.
  • Communicate regularly with regional teams to ensure their needs are met.
  • Present brand strategies and products confidently to large groups.
  • Monitor key trends and competitors' performance in all markets.
  • Lead global business reporting and analysis.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of global brand building activities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years relevant work experience with MBA or 5+ years without MBA.
  • Experience with company/product/marketing rooted in consumer trends.
  • Innovative thinker with a passion for making a difference.
  • Thorough understanding of marketing mix and KPIs.
  • Experience analyzing data and managing financials.
  • Ability to synthesize data and create actionable recommendations.
  • Strong presentation skills for large groups and senior audiences.
  • Highly organized, independent, and detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building collaborative relationships.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
