About the position

The Associate Manager of Philanthropy at Huggins Hospital is a mid-career role focused on enhancing the hospital's philanthropy program as part of a three-year Comprehensive Campaign. This position involves managing donor relations, implementing outreach programs, and supporting various campaign initiatives, all while contributing to the overall health of the community. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a new strategic philanthropy outreach program.
  • Manage two to four direct mail appeals per year.
  • Oversee all aspects of donor database management including gift input and acknowledgment.
  • Implement donor recognition initiatives in collaboration with the Manager of Philanthropy.
  • Expand electronic donation tools and collaborate with Marketing on digital platforms for the Huggins Hospital website.
  • Research, design, and implement a Grateful Patient program launch.
  • Support other campaign programs such as Planned Giving or Employee Campaign as identified.
  • Assist with Comprehensive Campaign events including kick-offs and house parties.
  • Provide general support for philanthropy and the Comprehensive Campaign as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in philanthropy.
  • Experience in a health-care setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Experience with a donor database is required.
