As an Associate Manager on the Private Markets Accounting team at SS&C, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Private Markets business management, new business development, and maintaining existing client relationships. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about accounting and investment services, particularly in the private equity sector. You will be involved in a variety of business activities that are essential for the smooth operation of the Private Markets division. Your responsibilities will include providing technical training to team members and sharing your extensive fund knowledge. You will review client deliverables, which encompass quarterly financial statements, investment data, partner capital allocations, fund net asset values, and applicable accrual bookings. As the primary liaison for your book of business, you will work closely with external parties such as auditors, law firms, and tax advisors to ensure compliance and accuracy in all financial reporting. In addition, you will be responsible for the preparation, review, and maintenance of general ledgers, sub-ledgers, and trial balances for multiple fund clients, adhering to various accounting standards including IFRS, US GAAP, and local GAAP. You will also assist in the implementation, onboarding, and setup of new client entities, contributing to the development and implementation of effective processes to enhance overall operations. Your role will require active planning, coordination, and monitoring of the quality and timing of various client deliverables, ensuring they meet the operating memoranda and service level agreements (SLAs). Furthermore, you will aggregate, maintain, and reconcile key business and client metrics, playing a crucial part in the financial health of the organization.
