About the position

The Associate Manager, Program Management at L3Harris is responsible for leading and directing a portfolio of projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business and financial objectives. This role involves significant interaction with customers and requires strong leadership skills to manage diverse teams and drive program execution effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the execution of all phases of a portfolio of projects from inception through completion.
  • Drives program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow.
  • Participates in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes.
  • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW), and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contracts.
  • Acts as the primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Expands the product line with the customer and establishes milestones, monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules.
  • Identifies program problems and implements solutions, such as reallocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Directs the work of project managers and other employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience, or a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

  • Proven project/program management performance with DoD or USN customer.
  • Costpoint - Prior Experience preferred.
  • COGNOS - Proficiency.
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) - Proficiency.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams.
  • Set clear goals and drive results in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrates aptitude in program cost management, EVMS experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements.
  • Experience with government DPAS rated contracts.
  • Project management experience in production projects.
  • Program scheduling experience.
