About the position

The Associate Manager at Starbucks plays a crucial role in leading a team of store partners to deliver an exceptional Roastery & Reserve Experience for customers. This position involves assisting the store manager in executing store operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and product quality. The Associate Manager is responsible for managing business operations in designated zones and must embody Starbucks' guiding principles while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise partners during shifts, promoting Starbucks culture and values.
  • Demonstrate calmness during high-volume periods and manage transitions smoothly.
  • Inspire partners to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.
  • Delegate responsibilities to ensure smooth operations with guidance from the store manager.
  • Coach partners by assessing performance and providing constructive feedback.
  • Implement and communicate operational plans to meet organizational objectives.
  • Identify problems and opportunities for improvement in the store environment.
  • Engage with customers to enhance their experience and address concerns promptly.
  • Assist in developing strategic and operational plans for the store team.
  • Manage business operations in assigned zones and ensure appropriate staffing levels.

Requirements

  • Progressively responsible customer service experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality environments.
  • Experience directing the work of others.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
  • Ability to carry 35 lbs.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED.
