About the position

The Associate Manager, Social Media at Benjamin Moore is responsible for enhancing the brand's presence across various social media platforms. This role involves creating original content that aligns with marketing objectives, managing social media strategies, and fostering customer relationships. The position requires a creative and self-motivated individual who can execute day-to-day content creation and management to drive brand awareness and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Run several of the brand's social channels, taking ownership of the process from end-to-end.
  • Manage social content planning, creative reviews, deliverables, and publishing for those channels.
  • Work with a cross-functional team of designers, copywriters, and in-house experts to deliver impactful creative across managed channels.
  • Create social-first content that aligns with the social media strategy to increase brand awareness, e-commerce sales, and user engagement.
  • Contribute and execute ideas for engaging video content targeted to key audiences for Instagram and TikTok.
  • Attend on-site events to capture content, film, and edit video footage in a social-first format.
  • Identify proactive engagement opportunities based on real-time trends to build engagement and fan growth.
  • Collect user-generated content and testimonials from customers tagging the brand in their paint projects.
  • Compile comprehensive reports to share how the brand is tracking against KPIs.
  • Monitor social media reports and social listening to inform content optimization for managed channels.
  • Stay up to date on best practices and emerging trends in social media and home spaces; identify relevant emerging trends.
  • Assist the Social Media Manager with other projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a similar discipline preferred.
  • 3+ years of social media experience for a consumer brand.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to develop meaningful relationships with internal team members and customers through social media communities.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills.
