About the position
As the Department Manager over associates, you'll ensure that the store runs smoothly—from head to tail. From motivating associates to ensuring we have the right product on the floor, our Department Managers drive the success of our stores by ensuring our customers have an engaging, personalized shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of associates passionate about pets.
- Interview, hire, train, and develop associates.
- Ensure associates have extensive knowledge of pet solutions.
- Create an exceptional customer experience.
- Build connections with pet parents.
- Ensure a safe and fun environment in the store.
Requirements
- Passion for pets and customer service.
- Experience in retail management or leadership roles.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a different business unit such as salon or Pets Hotel.
- Leadership skills development as an Assistant Manager or Store Manager.
- Experience with new store openings.
