About the position

The Associate, Marketing Analytics role at Sallie Mae focuses on supporting analytics initiatives by collaborating with marketing and analytics teams to gather and analyze data, generate insights, and contribute to data-driven decision-making. This position is integral in helping the company enhance its marketing strategies and improve student experiences through effective data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Support the analytics team in conducting data analysis, forecasting, and reporting to deliver insights and recommendations.
  • Design and execute A/B tests, including hypothesis creation, test setup, and result analysis.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the testing process.
  • Gather, clean, and prepare data for analysis, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track test performance.
  • Analyze data using various web analytic tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics).
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
  • Create and maintain data documentation, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience with SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages commonly used in analytics.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and functions.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, or similar.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in e-commerce or retail analytics is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, or related field.
  • Experience in digital marketing analytics is preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in analytics or related field.
