About the position

The Associate Member Services Officer (MSO) is an entry-level position designed to provide foundational knowledge of SECU branch operations. This role focuses on delivering exemplary member service through various branch duties, including cash management, account origination, and maintenance, while also beginning training in lending and collections.

Responsibilities

• Attend Excel and Elevate - New Employee Training (E&E).
• Complete core modules related to checking accounts, member eligibility, and SECU policies.
• Provide exemplary member service by responding to inquiries via phone and in person.
• Manage cash box and perform cash handling duties.
• Assist members with account origination and maintenance.
• Process foreign and domestic wire transfers and assist with foreign currency orders.
• Troubleshoot member account issues and process disputes.
• Learn to open basic accounts under supervision and follow MIP procedures.
• Participate in additional training and continuing education to enhance knowledge of branch operations.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by management and other administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree, CCUE Certification, or an Associate of Arts/Science degree via the NC-CTP.
