About the position

The Associate Merchandise Manager for Apparel & Accessories at Artful Home is responsible for developing high-level strategies and assortments for assigned categories or designers. This role involves overseeing product development and curation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring effective strategy execution across various distribution channels. The position is hybrid, allowing for remote work while requiring occasional presence in the Madison, WI or Los Angeles, CA offices.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-level category strategy based on internal and external analysis.
• Understand market trends and competitors to identify new business opportunities.
• Partner with the Director of Merchandising to build and lead strategy for apparel catalog and website.
• Develop seasonal catalog assortment plans and curate catalog spreads.
• Analyze business performance and present reports weekly and quarterly.
• Manage artist relations related to product assortment.
• Oversee sample management and product documentation accuracy.
• Manage merchandising turnover to the Ecommerce team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in merchandising, retail merchandising, business, marketing, or a similar field.
• Three or more years of directly related experience in merchandising.
• Experience in a vertical/private label apparel environment.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of catalog merchandising and multi-channel retailing.
• Intermediate to expert computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
