About the position

As an Associate Network Operations Engineer at Spectrum, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless delivery of internet services to over 32 million customers across the nation. Your primary responsibility will be to perform reactive monitoring of all core level telephone, IP, and Video elements within network facilities. This position requires you to engage in initial triage, escalation, and resolution of network troubles, as well as liaising with vendors to address issues effectively. You will be part of a reliable and supportive team, working under pressure to manage customer-impacting incidents and new revenue installations. Your contributions will be vital in protecting Charter's expanding network and ensuring high-quality service delivery. Responsibilities

  • Perform reactive monitoring of core level telephone, IP, and Video elements within network facilities.
  • Conduct initial triage, escalation, and resolution of network troubles.
  • Engage with vendors to address network issues effectively.
  • Escalate customer-impacting and install-impacting major incidents to relevant verticals.
  • Utilize network tools and resources to resolve trouble tickets assigned.
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients, operation support groups, vendors, and carriers.

Requirements

  • Network troubleshooting and/or surveillance experience of zero to two years.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Technology or Sciences, or industry certification, or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of network operations and ability to work with various operation support groups.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and correlate events and alarms.
  • Knowledge of topology, platforms, and protocols for IP, Voice, and Video networks.
  • Familiarity with network operations tools and ticketing platforms.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to triage and correlate event/alarms.
  • Ability to work in a teamwork environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills.
