The Associate of Acquisitions and Development at Bridge Housing Corporation will play a crucial role in supporting the evaluation and assessment of potential real estate acquisitions and the development of multi-family affordable housing. The Associate will be involved in various aspects of the acquisition and development process, including market research, underwriting, and transaction management. In this role, the Associate will support the evaluation and assessment of potential real estate acquisitions and development opportunities across California, Oregon, and Washington. This includes conducting thorough underwriting and due diligence for each transaction, which encompasses financial modeling, market surveys, broker interviews, and interactions with property management personnel and local government officials. The Associate will also be responsible for managing real estate and finance transactions effectively, ensuring that all due diligence information, including financial, market, site, and regulatory data, is organized and accessible. Additionally, the Associate will collaborate with the Business Development team to assist in responding to Requests for Proposals and Surplus Land Act notifications, as well as researching public agency funding availability for development site selection. The role requires a strong analytical mindset to provide insights that will inform the organization's investment decisions, including evaluating cash flow waterfalls and coordinating with the capital markets group for financing options. The Associate will also work closely with legal counsel to prepare necessary documentation for transactions and support the preparation and presentation of internal committee presentations for all acquisitions.
