About the position

The Associate Partner Development Manager plays a crucial role in driving business development efforts for prospective and existing partners within the Strategic Partnerships team at Global Payments. This position focuses on creating and managing high-impact partnerships, particularly with major players in the payments industry, to achieve revenue and market share growth. The role involves strategic planning, execution of partnership strategies, and collaboration with various internal departments to support the partnership lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Strategic Partnerships team during various phases of the partnership lifecycle.
  • Facilitate the development of partnership strategies and co-selling activities with inter-company departments and other partners.
  • Identify new industry partnerships and support the engagement process from prospecting through contract execution.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product Owners to gather information and materials for partner offerings.
  • Assist management with the coordination of Strategic Partnerships Team activities that may not directly involve a partner.
  • Lead the creation and review of reports and updates of partner activities in the pipeline.
  • Compile information and prepare reporting of strategic partner activities and key metrics for management.
  • Create, assist, review, and present information to internal/external executives and partners.
  • Remain knowledgeable about the current product/service portfolio and changes in the payments industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar technology
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and dependable
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Exhibit a high degree of self-motivation and drive

Nice-to-haves

  • Typically minimum of 8+ years relevant experience
  • Payments industry experience in a business development or partnership role
  • MBA or advanced degree
