About the position

The Associate Partner Development Manager plays a crucial role in guiding and executing business development efforts for prospective and existing partners within the Strategic Partnerships team at Global Payments. This position focuses on creating and managing high-impact partnerships, particularly with major players in the payments industry, to drive revenue and market share growth. The role involves extensive collaboration with various departments, research, proposal creation, and reporting on partner activities to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Strategic Partnerships team during various phases of the partnership lifecycle.
  • Facilitate the development of partnership strategies and co-selling activities with inter-company departments and other partners.
  • Identify new industry partnerships and support the engagement process from prospecting through contract execution.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product Owners to gather information and materials for partner offerings.
  • Assist management with the coordination of Strategic Partnerships Team activities that may not directly involve a partner.
  • Lead the creation and review of reports and updates on partner activities in the pipeline.
  • Compile information and prepare reporting of strategic partner activities and key metrics for management.
  • Create, assist, review, and present information to internal/external executives and partners.
  • Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on the current product/service portfolio and changes in the payments industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience (no degree specified).
  • Typically a minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar technology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Typically a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Payments industry experience in a business development or partnership role (fintech, financial services, card networks).
  • MBA or advanced degree.
