About the position

The Associate Pastor Worship Leadership at First Baptist Church of Barnesville is responsible for directing and managing all elements of worship experiences in a multi-generational church. This role requires strong leadership qualities to inspire and engage the congregation through worship, while also leading the music ministry and providing guidance to worship teams.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all elements of worship experiences in the church.
• Lead the music ministry and support all worship teams.
• Inspire and engage the congregation in worship.
• Perform pastoral responsibilities such as preaching, teaching, and providing spiritual guidance.
• Collaborate with other church staff members and support all church ministries.
• Stay updated with current music trends and techniques.

Requirements

• Affirms a testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing personal relationship with Him.
• Acknowledges a clear understanding of calling to the Gospel ministry.
• Holds a Bachelor's Degree in music, theology, or other worship-related ministry; a seminary degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Music Ministry or Worship Leadership.
• Demonstrates proficiency in playing at least one instrument and possesses strong vocal skills.
• Gifted with knowledge of different styles of music.
• Possesses a heart for the spiritual growth and discipling of those under their pastoral leadership.
• Experienced with the use of technology in worship such as lighting, sound systems, video projection, and worship software.
• Skilled in organization, administration, and interpersonal relationships.
• Ordained.
