About The Position
This position is responsible for obtaining all demographic and insurance information to ensure accurate and timely medical record completion in accordance with Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Organizations (JC) Department of Health (DOH) standards and medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations. The role involves effective management of all incoming referrals, authorizations, Pre-Registration and Scheduling, and the transition of inquiries to the appropriate service lines. Responsibilities include completing and distributing paperwork, entering pertinent patient information into the Hospital Information System, verifying insurance eligibility, identifying out-of-pocket costs, and communicating with staff and patients regarding cash requirements on or before the service date.
