About the position

The Associate Patient Services Specialist at Pacific Medical Centers is responsible for facilitating effective communication between patients and the medical center. This role involves full patient registration, scheduling appointments, answering insurance inquiries, and ensuring a high-quality patient experience. The specialist collaborates with back office teams to relay patient needs and may require travel to different locations within the medical center network.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates incoming and outgoing communications for Pacific Medical Centers and clients.
  • Performs full patient registration at the time of the call.
  • Schedules routine and complex primary care and specialty appointments.
  • Answers routine insurance questions and obtains current insurance information for all patients.
  • Works collaboratively with back office teams to ensure timely communication of patient needs.
  • Ensures communication provides an exceptional patient experience.

Requirements

  • One (1) year customer service experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • One (1) year working in a high-volume call center environment.
